The hallway carpet had large stains, the wallpaper in the room was peeling, the metal tub was chipped and gritty, the shower knob was broken (still turned and was usable - thank goodness, wouldn't have taken a bath), the water was orange when first coming out of the faucet, there were stains (blood?!?) on the wall in the room, the air conditioner was a window unit covered by the curtain so you had to open the curtains to get air, so you have to choose privacy or air. The ice machine was broken on our floor and I wasn't brave enough to venture to other floors. We were on the 5th floor and the window by the broken ice machine was wide open with no screen. There were two chairs against the window and even a very small child could have climbed up and fallen out of the window. The maid came by at 0800 and wanted to know if we were leaving, seemed to be in as big a rush as we were to get us out. Breakfast was not much and the orange juice machine was broken. We only stayed the night because we used free rewards. Would not have stayed a second night, even for free. We use Choice hotels a lot (thus the free night) and have never had a bad experience but will never go back to this one.

We (me, hubby & 3 kids) would never ever ever ever stay in this hotel ever again. We stayed here just recently (August 23rd) and regret ever stepping into the hotel. Our double queen room was dirty, uncomfortable, smelled of beer and smoke and not to mention our toilet had "poop" stains. I almost threw up when I walked in. Our lamp, floors and chairs had cigerette burns and the window mounted air conditioner leaked. The sheets and blankets were very thin and I think I would have gotten a better nights rest on the floor. The hotel is located in a very busy part of the city. There was constant traffic and lots of street noise. We actually had a patrol car sit and monitor the area just feet away from our room window. There are so many disgusting things about this hotel. We had no other choice to stay in the hotel because they had already charged my credit card an additional $200 security deposit on top of the room charge. They wouldn't refund our money and refused to upgrade our room. P.S. Their complimentary breakfast wasn't anything special. Just plain cereal, apple & orange juice, toast, milk, tea and coffee. Don't waste your time.

i AM A FREQUENT TRAVELLER SO i DO KNOW QUITE A BIT ABOUT HOTELS i HAVE STAYED IN THE RITZ CARLTON HOTEL FIVE STAR IN SAN FRANCISCO TO DUBAI'S SEVEN STAR HOTEL. i WOULD SAY THE STAFF ARE THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE EVER HER AT THE QUALITY INN HOTEL. THE LOBBY OH MY GOD!! IS IT EVER GORGEOUS YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE TO SEE THIS LOBBY ITS BEAUTIFUL IN MARBLE FLOORING GRANITE COUNTER TOPS BLACK SUEDE LEATHER SEXY LIGHTING AND I COULD GO ON FOREVER I HAVE STAYED IN DOWNTOWN AND IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO THE LOBBY THEY HAVE AT THE QUALITY INN AIRPORT IN VANCOUVER, BC CANADA YOU GOT TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT OH MY GOD !! THE ROOMS ARE BEAUTIFULLY RENOVATED BUT BATHROOM ARE BIT SMALL SINCE IT IS AN OLD STYLE HOTEL . ONE THING THIS HOTELS LACKING IS NO SWIMMING POOL, SAUNA OR EXERCISE ROOM. ROOM SAND LOBBY I THINK IN MY OPINION ARE JUST AMAZING. THE PURPLE HALLWAY CARPETING IS LIKE EXTRAVAGANT, EXPLOSIVE WOW! ONCE AGAIN WOW! IT'S GOT A SPORTS BAR WHICH HAS KAROKE ON THE WEEKEND IT'S A FRIENDLY BUT VERY BUSY BAR. BOWLING ALLEY TEN PIN IS REALLY ENJOYABLE AND A VERY BUSY LIQUOR STORE. NEAR BY THEY HAVE THIS AMAZING GREEK AND CHINESE RESTAURANT THE YOU SERIOUSLY COULD DIE FOR. DOWNTOWN IS TEN MINUTES AWAY I THOUGHT THE STAFF WAS AMAZING , THEY'RE SO FRIENDLY AND THE MAINTENANCE OF THE HOTEL ITSELF IS VERY, VERY CLEAN. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO GOES TO VANCOUVER DON'T GO TO DOWNTOWN SAVE YOUR MONEY $+ DOLLARS AND STAY HERE FOR LESS THAN $ DOLLARS THE RATES ARE VERY REASONABLE ASWELL. IN MY OPINION MY BEST EXPERIENCE , I CAN NEVER FORGET THIS MOMENT NOT IN A LIFETIME. I

This place is a dump. It smells old and musty. We booked a non-smoking room, but were put in a smoking one. Had to change rooms 3 times in order to get something that wasn't disgusting. Lamp shades falling apart, unrepaired holes in ceiling, ancient and noisy heat/air conditioner, bathroom fan didn't work.The decor is very dated. I have stayed in economy hotels that were much, much better than this place.

When I walked up to the counter and a customer came out of the elevator with his bags to check out (at 9 pm) because his room was filthy, I knew this to be a bad sign. Front desk clerk was incredibly friendly, though it was his first day and I'm not sure he knew what he was in for. Housekeeping were very nice, but as you'll read I'm not sure they understand what their job is. During the check in process, another couple checked out and demanded a refund. Our room, specifically: coffee cups were obviously not washed, sheets were questionable as I found hair on mine, and the other sheet was covered in stains. There was open pipes coming into our room covered by a very nicely decorated shoe box of some kind. Bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and there were more pipes-to-nowhere in the hallway that also looked to have been leaking at some point due to the large crusty stain on the carpet below them. I haven't had enough showers yet to wash the experience off.
